He’s won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?
I met the president’s son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I’d never met a guy like him.
He promised me that he’d never run for president. I promised that if he did, I’d be by his side.
Three terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton’s campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I’ve ever experienced. I’m determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.
Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I’m helpless to resist.
We’re stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt’s chance at the presidency on the line.
Winning will take everything. Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

It’s been days since I finished Mr President and I still spend time lost in thought about this story, these characters and the swoons.
I avoid politics. Someone always ends up offended or angry. When I saw that Katy had written this and was offering it up at a pivotal moment in American political history, I had to wonder if I would be able to follow it. My understanding isn’t all there. But this story was so easy to follow and I now grasp a basic understanding of the campaign trail, the hard work, the rallies, the speeches and the passion behind it all.
Matthew Hamilton doesn’t belong to a party. He’s his own person. Funding his own campaign. Wanting to get America to love itself again. Wanting to bring back the glory days from when his own father was President of the United States.
An independent candidate is going to need one hell of a team behind him and who better than the 22-year old Charlotte Wells who is fresh out of college and once-upon-a-time promised to help on his campaign to become the leader of the country. She never thought this would happen because Matt swore it wouldn’t. Until he felt he was the only one who could save the country.
The population, the voters, the people saw how he was married to his country, devoted to his cause, committed to succeeding and nothing – and no one – was going to get in his way.
Until the 11-year old Charlotte he met was even more alluring at 22 and completely convinced in him and his political journey. Completely on board with his campaign and, herself, devoted to him.
Matt exudes power. But not in an arrogant way. He knows what he wants, he knows what to do and say to achieve it. He knows he can succeed. And will succeed.
What he wasn’t expecting or banking on – once firming his stance on being single – was falling for this young woman with no desire to bed him and run away telling the media of their secret tryst.
What neither of them were planning on was what happened between them. Who can plan for something so miraculous as what transpired.
The chemistry between these two was off the charts hot. I adored Matt’s power over Charlotte and her dedication to Matthew. As a person, a lover and her future President.
I am excited to see where this story leads us to and how they can overcome the mile high hurdles which now stand in their way.
Katy Evans has done it again with producing us an alpha male without the need to constantly assert his dominance. He is powerful but, as a reader, it’s felt in his words during his political rally speeches and actions around the people and his apparent desire for Charlotte. Bring on Commander in Chief!!
