Title: Furious Rush
Author: SC Stephens
Release Date: August 23, 2016
For Mackenzie Cox, racing motorcycles is in her blood. Born into a family legacy, she’s determined to show the world that she has inherited her father’s talent in this male-dominated sport. The last thing Kenzie needs is to be antagonised by her rival team’s newest rider, Hayden Hayes. Hayden, exceedingly arrogant and outrageously attractive, immediately gets under Kenzie’s skin and she can’t help but be distracted.
As Kenzie and Hayden push each other on the track, the electric energy between them off the track shifts into an intense – and strictly forbidden – attraction. The only rule between their two ultra-competitive teams is zero contact. Kenzie needs a win, and she also needs to stay away from Hayden. Unfortunately for her though, one thing has become all too clear: she can’t.
Fuelled by passion, driven by desire, Hayden and Mackenzie both want to win more than anything else. Except for, maybe, each other. But anger, jealousy and extreme competitiveness aren’t their only obstacles . . .

Time for another book by the legend that is SC Stephens! And what a ride it was!
I loved Kenzie’s spirit and determination to be the best there has ever been. Her loyalty to her family and her resolve in wanting to save her family’s business.
Being the youngest and only racing daughter in the Cox family, she had a lot of pressure riding on her success especially considering the fragile state of the business.
Hayden Hayes is a mystery. To me, he is a tortured soul with one heck of a back story to tell. He wants to make his life better, he wants to BE better. And, of course, he has to be racing for Cox Racing’s rival – the Bennetti’s.
Of course, they embark on a journey of rivalry, of competitiveness, of all-out war on the race course. Kenzie rides better when she’s racing Hayden. Hayden doesn’t know why but he is fascinated with Mackenzie.
What begins is a slow burn of a tempestuous relationship. A forbidden one. An explosive one.
I enjoyed their banter, their blatant attraction and the sexual tension palpable between the lines. Hayden intrigued me and his story is one I would be keen to explore further. The ending leaves the story very open for more – my only hope is that it isn’t too dragged out.
My reason for 3-3.5 stars is purely due to my personal feelings that it felt very similar to a previous series by this author with the characters displaying close personality traits. I am curious as to how the story will progress and how these characters will develop.
