synopsis
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.
My Review
CoHo only went and blooming did it again!!!!!
I feel in love with Tate as soon as I met her she was a breath of fresh air!!!! I had all my heart devoted in her!!!
Then I met Rachel and I was like WTF is going on here!!!!
I was just wanting to get to the present chapters with ever past…but then as the past chapters became more intense I just couldn’t take my eyes of the page!!!
The book had me on the edge of my seat because I knew he loved tate, as we all know actions speaker louder than words!! No matter what miles said his actions betrayed him!!
“Don’t ask about my past” he says firmly “and don’t expect a future”
We all wanted what she wanted, we wanted whatever had happened to him to be healed by her!!!! I wanted him to really say he loved her and the emotions I felt for her and him were overwhelming!!!
The first time I cried was a moment that wasn’t really a major scene but I thought the conversation was beautiful and will always be one of my favourite scenes in a book
“remember when we were Kids and we wished our superpower could be to fly”
“Yeah I remember” Corbin says
“You have your superpower now. You can fly”
Corbin smiles at me in the rear view mirror
“Yeah” he says “I guess that makes me a super hero”
Then they go on and talk about the sunrise!! I was in tears I thought this is one of those moments that if it happened in real life, you would always remember where you were, what you were wearing and how you felt in that moment!!! Then I love how the sunrise comment became such a important moment, because I know that when I read that scene that I saw it for what it was a beautiful moment that Miles never forgot, that me as a reader will never forget!!!
The pain in my chest got worse and not to give it away but the scene with Rachel on the floor in her house O MY GOODNESS…. My heart shattered I was a mess…
My heart always belonged to Tate, no matter what I thought about his past, about Rachel!! Tate was always at the front of my mind!!!!
I won’t say what happens because it’s so beautiful that it’s perfect going in blind and not knowing where the hell it’s going because it gives you emotions, that honestly not many books could ever give you…
5 massive stars
