There’s only one thing in life Lucien Knight really hates, and that’s husbands who cheat on their wives.
There’s only one problem in Sophie Black’s life. Her cheating husband…
From the moment Lucien & Sophie meet, the seal is set.
Romantic, emotional & intensely erotic, Knight and Play is the perfect read for lovers of international bestsellers Fifty Shades & Bared To You. Let yourself be swept away by Part One of the Knight series from Kitty French, a romance so hot it’ll burn your fingers…
CEO of Knight Inc. Lucien Knight is catch-your-breath gorgeous and damaged by his troubled past in Norway. All grown up and relocated to London, he’s built his empire of adult clubs from the ground up to become the gorgeous patron saint of the sex industry. No one knows the dark childhood secrets that have given Lucien a backbone of steel and a heart encased in ice. No one until Sophie Black, that is…
From the moment girl-next-door Sophie accepts the job as Lucien Knight’s PA, she understands how Alice must have felt when she tumbled down the rabbit hole. Lucien takes her safe, vanilla life away and plunges her head first into a huge dish of fantasy flavours. Rich, spicy chocolate covered with dark, oozingly lickable sauce? Check. Tutti-frutti with indecently red, glistening cherries on the top? Yes please.
Lucien strips away all of Sophie’s inhibitions, and when he instructs her to select three new toys, she soon realises he has more than a game of Monopoly on his mind…
He’s opened the door to a whole new pleasure packed world without limits, and Sophie is utterly intoxicated. But how far is she willing to go? And what happens when she has to step back into reality again?
Lucien & Sophie’s is a story of star crossed love and forbidden passion, a sexual odyssey that spans the globe and changes both of their lives forever. Let it change yours, too.
My Review
I first read this book not long after I got into reading. After the FSOG surge I wanted to a good erotic novel. This book for me was everything and more and as it was a long time ago that I read it I felt the need to re-read it for this review. I am so glad I did because since reading his first time around I have gone on to read a lot of saucy novels and going back over this book has made me realise, that I love Lucien Knight even more then I did first time around but how well written this book is to me. Kitty (my favourite author ever) uses vast amount of descriptive words and this book is not at all repetitive which I have experienced with other books in the past, so for me that made it much more enjoyable.
The storyline flowed beautifully and I absolutely loved Sophie. I loved her to the point I wanted to be her. She was a real English rose in my eyes, blonde hair and curvy. Not overly confident so she never thought of herself as some kind of wonderful, she was just an average woman with needs.
Sophie is married woman whose husband is failing her by having an affair (he believes she doesn’t know) and feeling bored of certain aspects to her life she applies for a job at Knight Inc., sealing the envelope that holds the application with a kiss.
Meet Lucien Knight (*swoons) Norwegian Viking God of sex and all things kinky; looking for a new PA he is intrigued by this woman who kisses envelopes.
“…The most enigmatic man she’d ever met….
…Thor-like sex warrior…”
In a way he’s what Sophie’s fantasies are made of.
“He was her perfect Diet Coke man.”
Sophie gets the job and Lucien takes Sophie on a journey of sexual awakening, Lucien also feels he is helping Sophie build up the strength to deal with her marriage. Lucien does have deep emotional issues of his own too (as I learnt of his problems I think that really made me fall for him) and in many ways Sophie awakens something deep inside of Lucien.
Another beauty of this book to me is the way it touches on Sophie and what she is feeling, then Lucien and what he thinks and then there are a few segments from Sophie’s husband and his point of view whilst he is otherwise engaged.
Knight and Play ticked many boxes, it’s scorching hot, erotic to the point of arousing, and its cheeky at times to the point you can’t help but smile, but near the end it cut me. It left me feeling extremely emotional and sad.
This book then ended on a cliffhanger, where I wanted to jump off myself. I was shouting at my kindle saying “Nooooooooooo.” Then I had to wait for book 2 to be released that felt like an eternity.
So this series is definitely in my top 2 favourite books. I could never imagine someone not loving Sophie and Lucien.
I highly recommend this book.

My Review
Well what can I say; this book took me on a complete emotional rollercoaster. When I finished Knight and Play I had really wanted Lucien and Sophie to be together, although there were circumstances, which did not permit this. Sophie being married was an obstacle, but equally Lucien’s issues would always be a huge barrier between the two of them because he doesn’t love.
So Knight and Play left me hanging with Lucien appearing as Sophie was about to confront her husband whom she found out had been having an affair for sometime. Sophie’s world as she knew it comes crashing down and lets face it the bill’s won’t pay themselves so Sophie’s hand is forced and she returns to work for the Viking sex god of all the universe (I know…he get’s me excited), Lucien Knight.
Works takes them on a journey together meaning they will be spending a lot of time in each others company and Sophie is encouraged by her best friend Kara to adopt a new attitude whilst on her travels.
“They say the best way to get over a man is get under another one.”
“What happens in Paris stays in Paris, and all that.”
So this is the moment you get on the emotional rollercoaster. I felt excited, because Lucien Knight is a sex god and he and Sophie together are hot. Then there are moments I was dying hoping they would just get together officially, and then I thought how amazing Sophie was.
There is a moment when Sophie lays her feeling completely on the table and Lucien just tosses her aside and disregards her feelings (well that’s how I felt), then if truth be told that was the moment I grew angry of Lucien and thought that he was a coward and a total and utter idiot.
“I want to love you forever.” ~ Sophie
But you know and find out later why Lucien is like that, so in the end I felt sorry for Lucien and I saw just how vulnerable he is and those moments are gut wrenching and tore at my heart.
For me the first moment that I really wanted to cry was when Sophie makes her way back to Lucien after he leaves her and she appears in his room and he doesn’t look at her he simply says.
“I don’t want to wake up and find you’re not really here,” he whispered, not yet opening his eyes.”
Wow!!!…that moment made me feel lots of different emotions, happy, overwhelmed and relieved I even felt a little nauseous because I was in such a state over the way things had gotten between Sophie and Lucien I was praying they would get together.
Lucien redeems himself tenfold because when he finally does let Sophie into his heart he is even more amazingly sweet.
Well this book has the biggest happy ever after and the epilogue had my face aching from smiling so much. Damn it’s so good…I love it so much there are not enough words to express my love of Lucien Knight and the Knight Series.
As I have mentioned in all my reviews on this series. It is my favourite and it is the first book I’d recommend to anyone who is looking to read a new book and wants it to be sexy, romantic, fast and fun, with a side order of emotional roller coaster.
This series deserves more then 5 stars in my eyes, however 5 stars is what I’m left to work with so this is a 5 star book and series to me.

Knight & Day (Knight #3)

Kara Brookes hates liars.
Dylan Day hasn’t told the truth from the moment his plane touched down in Ibiza.
It’s a recipe for disaster.
Lucien and Sophie are back, and have set up camp on the sun-drenched isle of Ibiza for the opening of the latest of Lucien’s strictly adult clubs.
They’re joined for the summer by Sophie’s best friend Kara, and Dylan Day, Lucien’s newly appointed club manager. The laid back, smokin’ hot surf guy from California seems almost too good to be true… but there’s no smoke without fire. It’s going to be a long hot summer of love, lust, lies and wedding bells. But who will get their happy ever after?
Romantic, emotional and intensely erotic, Knight & Day is the thrilling final installment of the USA Today bestselling Knight Series from Kitty French.

My Review.
First off I have to say how I love Kitty French and the Knight Trilogy especially Lucien and Sophie. This story is a perfect ending to the series and as the synopsis states it can be read as a stand-alone, however do not deprive yourself if you are considering this, trust me you need Lucien Knight in your life.
Well the story is more about Sophie’s best friend Kara and the mysterious and gorgeous Dylan Day. Based in sunny Ibiza, Californian Dylan Day arrives hoping to start up a new life, leaving the past behind him, but sometimes the past can never just stay in the past.
Dylan lands a job working for Lucien in his new adult club where he meets Kara. There are plenty of sparks flying between them; in fact he just knew how to ‘push her buttons’.
“ Her alive button
Her awareness button
Her turned on button.”
The sexual tension between Dylan and Kara literally had me fidgeting in my seat. They had to get together; I wanted them to get together.
“Kara Brookes was something else. She’d turned up unannounced, eaten his breakfast, called him sexy, and then left him for dust with nothing but a tingling palm and a growing case of frustration.”
All the while Lucien and Sophie were living in sexual bliss as they cohabitated, they had built a life together. As this is based a good few years post Knight and Stay I loved the way Lucien and Sophie were still very much in love and very much in lust with one another. The ‘Honeymoon’ period had definitely not ended for them.
I found myself constantly wanting to be sandwiched in between both Dylan and Lucien. My love for Lucien will always be there because it’s Lucien but ding-dong, Dylan Day *swoons* he comes across extremely sweet, very naughty (in the flirty hunk sense) and yet there is a side I felt to be vulnerable and lonely at times, after all he’s escaping from something.
Kara and Dylan’s relationship starts to develop and I found they were adorable. The chemistry between them was amazing and definitely had me laughing in one breath and melting in the next.
“I could love you, Dylan Day”
He kissed her again, open-mouthed, his hands in her hair.
“I could love you too.”
What I also loved about this book is there was enough of Lucien and Sophie to keep me sated whilst I was turning grey, wondering if Dylan and Kara will ever get together properly. I had Lucien to keep me ticking over, although if I’m truthful I was more interested in Dylan (sorry Lucien).
Dylan’s world eventually comes crashing down and the truth about him gets out destroying his relationship with Kara. At this point my feelings for Dylan really grew, he’s not just a nice guy, he’s an amazing guy in my eyes, and I think that is the moment for me when I fell in love with Dylan Day.
I’m going to leave my review there, giving no more of the story away, Lucien and Sophie definitely go on to live happily ever after, you know that if you’ve read Knight and Stay, although there is a development to their relationship, as for Dylan and Kara?
That would be telling!!!
This book did not disappoint me not in any aspect because it was not just Lucien and Sophie’s story (although that wouldn’t disappoint me either. I must reiterate, I LOVE this series!!!). Please bear that in mind when you go to read this especially if you are familiar with the first two books. As said previous this book can be read as a stand alone which makes this an extra great book in my eyes, remember it’s not a novella.
I am sorry to see an amazing series end, but what an amazing ending, and for that I’m one happy woman. For me Knight and Stay was the icing on the cake but Knight and Day is definitely the cherry.
5 Stars all the way.
