Natalie’s review of Mirage –
OK, so my other Brits probably know I’m a very hard lady to please when it comes to my books.
While Jo is reading this I can imagine she’s either begging ‘please be nice Nat’ or she’s reading it with one eye shut just in case I have one of my little rants – about how annoying the writing is, or how the story doesn’t flow and how I got bored half way.
IT’S OK JO JO, I ACTUALLY LOVED THIS BOOK!
WOW, GO ASHLEY SUZANNE!
Here goes peeps –
OK, if you want every emotion in you affected – read this now!
So, we have Danny (super hot!); Skylar (super hot!) and both into motorcycles (yeah, super hot!) Then we have Mira and Kylee. Four best friends in college.
This story is about Mira and her boyfriend Danny (who I fell in love with within the first page)
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. We’re going to be so disgustingly happy, our friends are going to hate us”
At about 3% in I didn’t know whether to cry; give up; abuse Ashley or just breathe and continue like a big girl….!
So I continued and, boy, I was taken on one of the biggest emotional rides of my life I didn’t know if I wanted to jump ship or just shut my eyes and hope and pray.
It’s really hard to review this book in detail as I don’t want to give the story or anything away.
I will say this though –
IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT YOU!
This book is full of surprise and it really isn’t your typical romance book.
I would love to sit here and tell you the whole story because I can’t stress to you how good this book is!!
The story is very believable I found myself rooting for them from about 10% in but then the ending hit me like a freaking massive bus …I had to re-read it three times because I thought ‘no, surely not….’ I sat there thinking ‘what the hell…’
THEN IT JUST ENDS … picture me left alone with a blank kindle screen in a state of shock…!
So I’m very happy to give this book 4 stars (only reason it’s not 5 is because of the way it ended – evil genius though!)
So, Ashley, give me book two, Awakening, now please…. so looking forward to it!

Jo’s review of Mirage –
As it may have been previously mentioned, our Princess Natalie is a picky reader. So whenever she asks for a book to read and review, I am, naturally, nervous! An angry princess is not something I aspire to have on my hands!!
When she was reading and falling in love with the characters, the story and the author I knew we were onto a winner here and I just HAD to read it!
As Natalie says, we have our four characters which are paramount to the story – Danny, Mira, Skylar and Kylee. All close friends who experienced a tragedy on the day of graduation. Sucks to be them. Kylee (Mira’s lifelong friend) and Skylar (who has loved Mira since he met her but lost her to his best friend) are left trying to pick up the shattered pieces to Mira’s soul as life goes on.
Mira realises her feelings for Skylar are not completely friendly and they take the next step but with the wrong words said they go their separate ways only to meet again a year later. Their feelings haven’t changed but they had. Mira had become more mature and aware of her emotions and Skylar seems to have become much hotter (I *may* have a thing for MC bikers….!) Well, as you’d expect one thing leads to another…
And, then, as you wouldn’t expect, that one thing leads to something BIG. As with Natalie, the ending was a complete shock and I thought that was the Mirage of the story…
Please, I implore you to try the book for yourself and try to deny us that the ending doesn’t have you wanting more immediately. Ashley Suzanne, bravo. Thank GOODNESS I don’t have to wait too much longer for the next book – AWAKENING! (PS, Team Skylar!)
My rating – 5 out of 5. Cliffhangers may be a bitch but they make me want more!!
